What to feed lavender so it blooms twice as lushly

If you want your lavender bushes to become fuller, experienced gardeners recommend feeding them with coffee grounds. The result will be noticeable within a few weeks.

Why coffee

Lavender has long been a favorite among gardeners: it is hardy, fragrant, and does not require complex care. In addition, this plant helps repel insects, which is especially relevant in summer.

For a bush to develop well, it needs basic conditions: plenty of sunlight (at least 6 hours a day), light, well-drained soil, and moderate watering without water stagnation.

But if you want to achieve a denser bush and more abundant flowering, it is worth adding a simple feeding.

Gardeners often use coffee grounds as a natural fertilizer.

Their effect is due to their composition: coffee contains a small amount of nitrogen, has slight acidity, and improves soil structure.

In moderate amounts, it stimulates plant growth and can promote the formation of more flowers.

How to apply the feeding correctly

To avoid harming the plant, it is important that the grounds have completely cooled (if you decide to feed the bush right after drinking coffee) and dried—then they can be spread evenly.

Sprinkle them around the base of the bush without touching the stems, and lightly mix them with the top layer of soil. After that, water the plant so the nutrients penetrate deeper.

It is sufficient to apply this feeding once a month.
